The role
Lead field execution of architectural trade packages across Ontario Line South station areas. The superintendent directs subcontractors and resources, coordinates architectural work with civil, structural and building systems, maintains short-term plans and look-ahead schedules, controls safety and quality, measures progress and productivity, manages deficiencies and turnover, and preserves site records supporting changes, progress measurement and claims avoidance.
Requirements
College diploma or university degree in architecture, architectural technology, civil engineering, construction engineering technology, construction management or a related field. Requires at least seven years of progressive construction experience, including three years supervising crews and architectural subcontractors, and demonstrated delivery of fit-out or finish scopes on complex projects. Requires field leadership, planning, drawing interpretation, interface coordination and reporting ability. Safety training and certifications are required as applicable; transit experience, professional credentials and specialized training are assets.
