The role
Plan, coordinate and execute major civil and structural concrete work for the Darlington New Nuclear Project’s Unit 1 small modular reactor. The manager leads foundations, slabs, walls and equipment foundations from constructability through inspection and turnover; coordinates excavation, formwork, reinforcing, embeds and placements; manages subcontractors, interfaces, productivity, quality documentation and short- and medium-term schedules.
Requirements
Post-secondary education in civil engineering, construction management, civil engineering technology or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience; significant large-scale civil and structural concrete management experience; knowledge of reinforced concrete, formwork, rebar, testing, tolerances and constructability; experience leading field teams and subcontractors; strong QA/QC and multidisciplinary coordination skills; nuclear and unionized construction experience are listed among the desired background.
