The role
Hatch is recruiting a senior communications engineering manager for its Global Rail Systems team in Mississauga. The manager develops and delivers major technical programs from feasibility and design through construction issue, testing and commissioning; controls scope, schedule and budget; leads staff; coordinates owners, contractors and partners; and builds regional training, competency, quality and innovation programs. The infrastructure scope can include outside and inside plant, networks, telephony, security, public-address and variable-message systems, SCADA, radio and Wi-Fi for rail environments.
Requirements
Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent; professional engineering licence or ability to obtain one within six months; 10-15 years of communications-systems design covering several of the listed rail or similar systems; knowledge of relevant European and North American standards; transit or transportation experience is highly desirable. RCDD certification, CAD/BIM tools, communications-modelling software, field testing, cybersecurity knowledge and project-management experience are assets.
