The role
Lead municipal water and wastewater conveyance projects from concept through detailed design and construction. The role covers watermains, sanitary and trunk sewers, chambers, maintenance holes and conveyance within tunnels; defines scope and resources, monitors progress and risk, prepares drawings, specifications and contracts, coordinates hydraulic modelling, constructability, estimates and schedules, and integrates civil, geotechnical, structural, seismic, mechanical, electrical, environmental and noise/vibration disciplines while managing clients, contractors and regulators.
Requirements
Accredited bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering or a related discipline; Ontario P.Eng.; 8 to 12 years in linear conveyance design and construction, including at least 5 years with municipal water and wastewater systems; expertise in pipelines, chambers, hydraulic modelling, alignments, constructability and urban infrastructure; familiarity with municipal standards, permitting and environmental assessment; proficiency with BIM, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, GIS and MS Project; demonstrated project-management and stakeholder-coordination capabilities.
