The role
Gain site-based engineering experience on the Surrey-Langley SkyTrain extension, one of Western Canada’s largest transportation projects under construction. The student supports engineers and superintendents with site audits, quantity take-offs and productivity tracking, schedule and cost reporting, quality review, engineering drawings, bills of materials, estimates and coordination with clients, contractors and project departments.
Requirements
Current enrolment in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, construction management or a related university, college or technical program; construction experience is a strong asset; beginner knowledge of equipment, methods, drawings, materials and project standards; valid driver’s licence and clean abstract; Microsoft Office proficiency; AutoCAD or Bluebeam is an asset; strong communication, organization and time-management skills; ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
