The role
Serve as the on-site technical interface between design consultants and construction teams delivering GO Expansion grade separations, stations, track and related civil works. The engineer reviews designs, calculations, temporary-works packages, RFIs, inspection plans and shop drawings; supports constructability, staging, heavy lifts and field issue resolution; verifies design intent across multiple sites; and briefs site teams on technical limitations, sequencing and inspection requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent, P.Eng. registration with Professional Engineers Ontario, and at least 12 years of progressive civil engineering and construction experience with substantial heavy-civil transit, transportation or major-infrastructure exposure. Requires temporary-works or construction-engineering experience, strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, ability to review technical and contract documents, and proficiency with standard engineering tools. Municipal utilities, drainage and site-servicing experience, authority standards and document platforms are assets.
