The role
Aecon Utilities is recruiting a project manager for substation work who will be accountable for the operational and financial performance of a designated region. The manager oversees project results, workloads, risks and opportunities; leads superintendents and field crews; approves expenditures and proposal pricing; supports management succession; maintains client and union relationships; and aligns regional delivery with corporate plans and procedures.
Requirements
Post-secondary education in engineering or construction project management, or equivalent technical training and experience; at least 10 years in project management in the electrical or renewable-energy sector, including brownfield utility-interconnection work; utility-contracting experience; leadership, negotiation, scheduling and issue-resolution skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Project. Renewable-energy construction experience is an asset.
