The role
Aecon's Transportation West & Foundations group is hiring a superintendent to lead daily piling and foundation field operations in Toronto. The work covers driven piles, drilled shafts and caissons, shoring, excavation support, concrete foundations and related civil works. The superintendent plans crews, equipment and materials; coordinates survey, engineering, quality, subcontractors and suppliers; tracks production and field records; and resolves ground-condition, constructability, access and sequencing issues while enforcing safety and quality requirements.
Requirements
At least five years supervising construction, with direct heavy-civil piling, foundation or deep-foundation experience; knowledge of pile layouts, geotechnical conditions, tolerances, production tracking and quality documentation; ability to interpret drawings, specifications, pile schedules, geotechnical reports and lift plans; experience coordinating cranes, drill rigs, excavations, concrete, reinforcing steel, survey, testing and subcontractors; Microsoft Office proficiency and a valid driver's licence.
