The role
Lead utility CAD design for major transportation and municipal infrastructure projects. The designer produces preliminary and detailed wet- and dry-utility drawings, relocation designs, 3D models, plans, profiles and cross-sections; integrates survey and subsurface-utility data; coordinates municipalities, utility owners and multidisciplinary teams; performs QA/QC; and supports quantities, tender documents and record drawings.
Requirements
7+ years in utility or municipal CAD design, preferably transportation or linear infrastructure; diploma in civil engineering technology or equivalent education and experience; knowledge of municipal utility standards, construction practices and urban rights-of-way; ability to own CAD deliverables and coordinate stakeholders; required AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud skills; MicroStation, OpenRoads and trenchless or large-diameter pipe exposure are assets.
