The role
Direct commissioning, testing, systems integration, operational readiness and handover for a large, complex infrastructure project in Fredericton. The director leads a multidisciplinary team; develops commissioning and handover plans, schedules, resources and risk strategies; coordinates engineering, construction, operations and third parties; approves procedures and test documents; oversees integration, cutover, start-up and energization; verifies contractual, safety, quality and regulatory compliance; manages completion records and turnover documentation; and prepares operators to receive the assets.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management or a related technical field; minimum 20 years in design, construction, commissioning, operations or maintenance of large industrial, energy, infrastructure or heavy-construction projects; at least 5 years leading commissioning, testing, start-up or operational-readiness teams; proven delivery of complex multidisciplinary capital projects; strong knowledge of commissioning methods, testing, systems integration, turnover, schedules, construction practices and quality systems; ability to interpret contracts, specifications, drawings and schematics. Power-generation, hydroelectric, energy and Canadian major-project experience are assets.
