The role
Aecon is seeking a director to lead civil and facilities maintenance for a major Toronto light-rail project. The role has strategic and operational responsibility for preventive, corrective and lifecycle maintenance across surface, elevated and underground assets, including stations, platforms, tunnels, ventilation, drainage and structures. It sets renewal plans and forecasts, manages budgets, contractors, reliability and regulatory performance, leads technical teams and directs responses to incidents and service disruptions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, infrastructure, construction management or a related field; 10+ years of progressive rail or transit infrastructure maintenance experience, including senior leadership; experience with stations, civil structures, underground stations and tunnels in regulated transit environments; strong financial, contractual and performance-management skills. P3 or long-term maintenance-contract experience is preferred; unionized-workforce experience is an asset; must be local to Toronto or willing to relocate.
