The role
Lead pre-construction for electrical transmission, substation, distribution and utility-infrastructure projects from opportunity development through award, engineering, procurement, early works and mobilization. The manager directs multidisciplinary teams, estimates and tenders, schedules, commercial negotiations, budgets, forecasts and controls while coordinating agencies, clients, Indigenous communities and regulators for capital projects typically valued from $1 million to $100 million.
Requirements
Red Seal or equivalent, engineering, construction project management, or combined technical training and experience; 15+ years of progressive leadership in transmission and substation projects; journeyperson lineworker or electrician preferred; leadership of multidisciplinary teams on projects valued at $1M-$100M; knowledge of transmission engineering, construction methods, environmental permitting, rights-of-way and regulation; ability to read construction documents; strong leadership, negotiation and dispute-resolution skills.
