The role
Support project controls for the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station refurbishment, where the CanAtom joint venture is replacing retube, feeder and boiler components in Units 5–8. The student helps maintain schedules, cost reports, forecasts, variance analyses, budgets, expenditures, change orders, progress reports and risk registers; contributes to planning and status meetings; coordinates with engineering, procurement and finance; and organizes and visualizes project information.
Requirements
Current enrolment in a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business or a related field; strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to work independently and in a team. Coursework or previous project-management or project-controls experience, familiarity with Primavera P6 or MS Project, cost-tracking tools and earned-value principles are assets. No minimum number of years is stated.
