The role
Aecon is hiring an area manager for the Hamilton Light Rail Transit project. Reporting to the Segment Integration Director, this leader is accountable for the safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of a designated project area and coordinates multidisciplinary construction, engineering, procurement, commercial, subcontractor and field teams. Responsibilities include execution planning, performance and risk control, contract and change management, stakeholder coordination, work-method review, budgeting, forecasting and leadership of project personnel.
Requirements
Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, civil engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience; 15+ years on major infrastructure, transit, heavy-civil, transportation or construction projects; at least five years in senior leadership of large multidisciplinary teams; LRT, rail or major-infrastructure and P3 experience; knowledge of utility relocation, civil works, stations, guideway, systems integration or corridor construction; contract, scope, change, schedule, budget and risk-management expertise. P.Eng., PMP, Gold Seal or equivalent is an asset.
