The role
Produce and coordinate structural building models and drawings for commercial, residential, institutional, and sports or recreation projects. Working under an experienced BIM technologist or BIM leader, the role develops structural models from conceptual information, prepares Revit drawings, coordinates overlays with other disciplines, resolves design-development conflicts, and is accountable for drawing quality, schedule, and efficiency.
Requirements
Required: an accredited Revit certificate and a diploma in civil/structural drafting or technology from an accredited university or technical college, plus 5+ years of Revit experience. Proficiency with Revit 2022+ and knowledge of structural drafting, project phases, and wood, precast, steel, concrete, and light-gauge steel systems are expected. AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revizto, Autodesk Construction Cloud/Forma, CanBIM or Autodesk certification, and Certified Engineering Technologist status are assets.
