The role
Egis is seeking an Ottawa-based structural team lead to manage engineers and BIM technologists delivering building and infrastructure projects. The role provides technical leadership and project oversight from proposals and detailed design through permitting, tendering, construction review and closeout. Responsibilities include sealed design packages, schedules, resources and budgets, stakeholder and regulatory coordination, scopes and fee estimates, permit and tender documents, construction compliance, technical reviews, quality assurance, mentoring and business development.
Requirements
University degree in structural engineering; Ontario P.Eng. designation in good standing; minimum 10–15 years of structural design experience; delivery of medium-to-complex building and infrastructure projects; leadership of multidisciplinary teams and coordination with construction stakeholders; strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, National Building Code of Canada, CSA standards and applicable regulations; proficiency with AutoCAD, SAFE, S-FRAME, SAP, WoodWorks and ETABS; client-relationship, technical-writing and organizational skills; valid driver’s licence and access to an insured, registered vehicle. French-English bilingualism is a strong asset.
