The role
Aecon is hiring a project manager for defined work segments of the Yonge North Subway Extension. Reporting to the Alignment/Construction Director, the manager oversees shoring, utilities, excavation and structural works as well as the full project cycle covering cost, scheduling, invoicing and design progress. The role controls budget, schedule and quality, manages contracts and change orders, mitigates risk, directs supervisory staff and subcontractors, inspects progress and leads multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, construction, finance, design, controls, contract, quality and safety functions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or diploma in construction management, engineering or another relevant field; at least 10 years managing complex, large-scale transportation or heavy-civil infrastructure construction; experience with public stakeholders or transit agencies, self-performed work and design-build delivery; knowledge of deep excavation, roads, shoring, utilities and structural concrete; strong construction-methodology, leadership and people-management skills. PMP or P.Eng. status, or progress toward one, is an asset.
